I remember playing the old 78 speed records of such artists as Hank William's, Ernest Tubb, and Jim Reeves. At an early age I started to collect records, and today I have an impressive country collection. I always liked country music but never dreamed of being a disc jockey. In 1979 a full- time country music station on Oahu changed it's format. I could not imagine living without country music. Fortunately, a short time later a local disc jockey started a country show. I contacted him and offered him the use of my record collection. I remember telling him that I had no reservations about helping him on his show, but there was no way he could convince me to go on the air. However he had other plans for me, and with his encouragement I started going on the air. soon he was spending less time on the show, and in a matter of months I was hosting the show. The rest is history. My full time job is assistant general manager at PS&D, Owner of our three local NAPA stores. I started as a warehouseman. I then became a counter partsman. Following that I was in outside sales, and then I went into management. I have been at PS&D for over 20 years. I have a few hobbies which include fishing, swimming, walking, and televised sports. Due to long hours at my job at NAPA, I find that time is scarce, but I try to walk in areas surrounding my Wailua Houselots home. I am a Dallas Cowboys fan. I watch the Sunday games and Monday night football. However, my greatest hobby is the Pat Victorino Country Show on the Surf 95.9FM every Saturday between the hours of 1pm through 6pm. And Country Classics on the first Sunday of every month!
